PrepareLegacy™ was created from a simple belief: preparing well is one of the most meaningful ways we can care for the people we love.
Too often, families are left searching for information, making difficult decisions, or trying to understand someone’s wishes during moments already filled with grief, illness, or unexpected change.
PrepareLegacy™ provides a practical, guided system for gathering, organizing, and communicating the information loved ones may one day need — helping families replace uncertainty with clarity and preparation with peace of mind.
For us, this work is about more than organization. It is about stewardship, caring for family, and preparing today so those we love are better supported tomorrow.

PrepareLegacy™ is not affiliated with a particular church or denomination. Our desire is simply to serve families, churches, and communities with integrity, compassion, practical help, and a Christ-centered heart for people.
While our faith shapes the values behind PrepareLegacy™, families from every background are welcome to use the resources we provide.
We hope to become more than a resource families use once. We want to be a trusted resource they can return to as life, circumstances, and responsibilities change.

PrepareLegacy™ helps families organize the information, decisions, and plans their loved ones may someday need. But preparation can also reveal an important question:
Are the financial resources in place to carry out the plan you've prepared?
As licensed life insurance agents, Eric and Cheryl are also available to help families explore life insurance and final expense coverage when appropriate.
This may include helping families consider questions such as:
- Would loved ones have the resources needed for final expenses?
- Would the loss of income create a financial burden?
- Is existing life insurance still appropriate for today’s circumstances?
- Are there financial gaps that preparation has uncovered?
There is no requirement to purchase insurance in order to use PrepareLegacy™. Insurance guidance is an optional, separate service for families who would like help exploring their protection needs.
Meet Eric & Cheryl Lugo
PrepareLegacy™ was created by Eric and Cheryl Lugo — a husband-and-wife team who believe that preparing for the future is one of the most meaningful ways we can care for the people God has placed in our lives.
Like many families, we understand that life doesn’t always unfold according to plan. Families experience marriage, children, aging parents, changing finances, illness, loss, unexpected transitions, and new responsibilities. Through those experiences, one lesson continually becomes clear:
The best time to prepare is before an emergency happens and our family is forced to figure things out.
That belief became the foundation for PrepareLegacy™.
Our goal is to take subjects that families often postpone or find overwhelming and make them easier to understand, organize, discuss, and act upon.
Today, our work also includes helping families consider whether appropriate life insurance or final expense protection should be part of their overall preparation.
But whether someone comes to us for PrepareLegacy™, education, insurance guidance, or simply a helpful conversation, our desire is the same:
To serve people well, honor Christ in how we conduct ourselves, and become a trusted resource for families, churches, and communities.
